CMM Operator

Duties and Responsibilities:
Program machine
Layout parts using machine
Do dimensional studies using machine
Perform dimensional layout inspections using the proper equipment (CMM, height gauges, micrometers, vernier calipers, optical comparator, dial indicators, and hardness tester).
Coordinate incoming inspection work to insure customer-timing needs are met.
Perform inspection equipment verifications as required
Make necessary arrangements when external calibrations are required.
Keep proper records of calibration.
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma required
Degree in a technical field and/or equivalent experience preferred
Familiar with IATF Requirements
PPAP, SPC, Advanced GD&T, Blueprint reading, Strong math skills (trigonometry) required.
Must be able to interpret engineering drawings in order to perform requested inspections.
Must have experience in programming and operating CMM equipment
Must be familiar with CAD systems and files
Must have good people skills
Must have the ability to work within a team environment
Strong computer skills.
Strong communication skills (both written and oral).
Maintain a professional appearance of the test facility.
Enforce and conduct good housekeeping.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
